HAXTUN RELAYS! 2023
We are excited to see you at the Haxtun Relays!
The Haxtun Relays has been a longstanding Track & Field tradition in Northeastern Colorado. With some adjustments and an alternate venue we have brought back the tradition to meet the standards of a Colorado state qualifying meet. It is a fun meet incorporating all events as relays while yet making it a Colorado qualifying meet for individuals.
LOCATION: The meet will be held in Holyoke Colorado at the Holyoke High School. Holyoke has a beautiful 8 lane all-weather track, jumping pits and shot and discus arenas.
DATE & TIME: April 28th, 2023 with an afternoon Start Time designed to finish under the lights. This should be a great event as teams are typically making final pushes to qualify relay teams.
STATE QUALIFYING TIMES:All events will be timed, marked and measured as individual events in order to accommodate the structure of MaxPreps and MileSplit for state qualifying events.
MEET SCORING:
For the purpose of meet scoring each member's individual BEST time or mark per event will be tallied together with other team members for that event for a total team time or mark. This total time or mark will be used for team scoring for that event.
Standard relays will incorporate the normal 4 person team. 1 relay per team maximum.
The Pole Vault, High Jump, 1600m and 3200m run will incorporate 2 person teams for the purpose of meet scoring.
All other events will use a 3 person team.
You must field an entire 2,3, or 4 person team as discussed previously to accumulate TEAM points for that event. If you cannot field a team, individuals are still allowed to participate, but no meet points will accumulate toward the meet team score.
MEDALS Medals given for 1st place team in each event. TROPHIES given for top Mens and Women's Teams overall. TROPHIES also given for top teams in both Mens and Women's division for;
